His association with Carnegie had a profound impact on Hill, and it was this relationship that helped him develop his own philosophy of success. Carnegie commissioned him to examine and explain the “process of success” by interviewing over 500 successful men and women including Thomas Edison, Alexander Graham Bell, George Eastman, Henry Rockefeller, Theodore Roosevelt, F.W. Woolworth, Woodrow Wilson, and many other distinguished personalities of the time. This project eventually led to the publication of the The Laws of Success in 1928. In 1937, Hill published Think and Grow Rich, a book which became one of the bestselling books of all time, and continues, 70 years after its initial publication, to be included in business bestseller lists. Napoleon Hill died in South Carolina in 1971.
